Special field round

Special Field Round is a new type of archery competition round, which is being developed. The main purpose of this round is to make competing fun and challenging to different shooting styles and for differently skilled archers. Secondary targets of this are to make rounds simpler and quicker to build, and to increase the lifetime of target butts.

In Special Field Round there are two different sizes of faces and two shooting distances to each target. Shooting distances are marked red and blue. In each target one shooter will use his own size and distance according to his shooting style. In this way it is possible for that four different shooting styles to use same round in the same competition.

The sizes of target faces are related to shooting distance so that hitting the target is equally difficult for each shooting style. Target faces are attached to butt so that arrows will be distributed equally on it.

How to shoot on Special Field Round?

* Longbow and barebow use the red marker and the bigger target face.
* Compound bow use the red marker and the smaller target face.
* Olympic recurve use the blue marker and the smaller target face.
* Juniors and beginners use the blue marker and the bigger target face.
